FAQ

Who can benefit from this service?

A.Homeowners, real estate investors, and hospitality business owners (or owners-to-be!) can all take advantage of this service. Many homeowners toy with the idea of renting out a room in their house for extra income, but don't know how to get started. The Midnight Host can help! Real estate investors often consider short term rentals because of its potential for higher income, but don't have experience in short term rentals. And someone who has recently purchased or inherited a property such as a B&B or motel might look for some guidance on what to do with their new place. I can help!

How do I know which package to choose?

A.Generally, my aim is to have your property listed and ready for guests by the time we're done with our consultation(s). If your property is pretty much ready, but you just want help listing it and setting rates, for example, you'll probably only need the Bronze package (a single meeting). If you have no idea where to start, you might want something like the Gold package or a custom package for more guidance.

Where do you operate?

A.Most consultations can be done virtually, so you can be located anywhere in the world and take advantage of these services. In-person meetings are possible within Utah, as well as distant locations with a travel fee.

Do you charge based on what services you provide?

A.Generally, packages are priced based on time, not specific services. This way, you can decide what you need the most help with and we can work together to find what you need.

Do you offer photography services?

A.Yes! Photography is offered by the sister company, Aysia Tan Media, which specializes in property photography. Photography pricing is separate from consultation pricing.

About Me

I have been drawn to the hospitality industry since I was younger than I can remember, and I love working with hotels, motels, bed & breakfasts, and even homeowners who dabble in short-term rentals. I earned my bachelor’s degree in Hospitality & Tourism Management from Brigham Young University–Hawaii in 2012. Learning about hospitality in the heart of tourism was incredible. I’ve had over a decade of experience working with five-star properties from Maui to Maine, and I spent two years working for a property management system where I worked directly with property owners to help manage reservations, online travel agents, marketing, and more. I was fortunate to live on property while working for a large five-star resort in Hawaii where I saw both the guest perspective and the operational perspective simultaneously and learned how much detail, time, effort, and planning goes into coordinating with each department for a smooth guest experience. I spent time running a five-star bed & breakfast side-by-side with the owner, covering every facet of operations from setting rates to serving breakfast to connecting with online travel agents such as Airbnb to housekeeping to analyzing financials. With my master’s degree in Digital Filmmaking, I developed a love for storytelling and visual arts. I’ve focused this passion by becoming a property photographer within the hospitality industry.

Testimonials

"We are so grateful we used this service to help us start our Airbnb. We didn't even know this was available until The Midnight Host showed us what to do and opened our eyes to a lot of details we didn't even think about. The minute we posted our Airbnb it got booked and we attribute a lot of that to this service! If we had used her service earlier, we could have been making money for years!"
